Garages are an essential part of modern living, in winter providing a hassle free way of keeping your car clean and in summer easily storing bikes for hitting the trails or paddleboards for exploring the sea.

Often creating a garage or abri is not as straightforward as you might imagine. One of the challenges for any groundworks, including garage bases, is that anywhere you put a shovel in the ground here you can hit rocks! Add to that steep inclines that may need cutting into or land that needs structural support and you'll soon find that groundworks are pretty complicated and expensive.

I've worked on a many different garage and abri projects for clients including garages that need the design to tie in with the existing building or ones that need approval from the Architectes de Batiment de France because the site is in a protected area.
